TBH Skating Treadmill

TBH Skating Treadmill is an advanced form of training to develop proper stride mechanics along with increasing skating power and speed. Treadmill speed can vary from 5-20 MPH to push athletes to their fullest potential. Treadmill can surface can move from neutral all the way to an incline degree of up to 25 to drive home the power of their stride. Typical sessions allow up to 6 athletes per group in a 40-minute session. This new service makes TBH the perfect 1 stop shop for all your hockey training needs!

Ages

Range: Squirts to Pros

Groups can vary in age as each individuals program is unique to them. Operator can move speed and incline on an individual basis in seconds!

Disclaimer (SQUIRTS AND U10): For some they are too young for the machine which is completely fine because they are still developing their skating mechanics and learning. For the machine to be an effective training tool, they need to skate functional well on the ice. We will do our best to evaluate to kindly say they may be too young for the machine, and it would be better use in the future




SKATES

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to sharpen skates before each session at 1/2 radius for 4 or more passes. With the power of the treadmill and stride pushing you need to have sharp edges to complete the full session. Dull skates can limit the ability to skate on treadmill as they will slide on the surface.

Where

TBH is located at the Furniture and Things Event Center in Elk River, Minnesota. Enter through the TBH exterior entrance on the Southeast end of the building. Look for our logo on our door on the front of the building. The treadmill is located through the back door of our suite and in the back of The Yard. Once in The Yard, follow the bathroom hallway back to the treadmill area. 

Sessions

Recommended to have 1-2 sessions per week. Skating in our on ice programs helps compliment the work done on treadmill and translate to the ice. 10 or more sessions is recommended to start seeing the benefit of skating on the treadmill.


Sessions will focus on stride mechanics and speed/sprinting training

Experience

TBH Treadmill is a advanced form of training and not meant for everyone. Skaters must have high level of skating mechanics to receive optimal results. Work ethic is a must as the treadmill will push endurance and strength to high thresholds.
